Structure Conflict

This feature detects whether files or folders have been deleted, moved, or renamed since the last synchronization when using the 'Synchronize' copy mode.
After each copy operation, a reference list is created that contains the folder structure of all files and folders. The reference list is used during the next synchronization to detect structure conflicts.

Process

If a file or folder has been deleted, moved, or renamed since the last synchronization, the corresponding item in the opposite folder is deleted.
Exception: A file is not deleted but copied again if it has been modified since the last synchronization.

Delete Files and Folders

Structure conflict detection can be enabled separately for files and folders and restricted to the source or destination folder:
  • Source and Destination
If a file is deleted in either the source or destination folder, the file with the same name in the opposite folder is also deleted.
  • Source
    • If a file is deleted in the destination folder, it is also deleted in the source folder.
    • If a file is deleted in the source folder, it remains in the destination folder and is copied back to the source folder.
  • Destination
    • If a file is deleted in the source folder, it is also deleted in the destination folder.
    • If a file is deleted in the destination folder, it remains in the source folder and is copied back to the destination folder.
