Info: Toolbar buttons can be shown or hidden via the context menu (right-click on the toolbar).
Search result
- File manager
Opens the File manager to delete, copy, move, or rename selected files. - Save search result
Saves the current search result. - Save as
Saves the search result under a new name or to a different location. - Export search result
Exports the search result to an external format. - Print search result
Prints the current search result. - Log
Shows the log of performed actions. - Save search result and close
Saves the search result and then closes it. - Save search result and exit AllDup
Saves the search result and exits the program. - Close search result
Closes the current search result without saving. - Exit AllDup
Exits the program.
Columns
Here you can show or hide the different columns in the search result:- Show 'File path' column

Adjusts the width of all columns in the search result to the content of the currently visible rows. - Automatically optimize column width
Automatically adjusts column width to the respective content when expanding or collapsing groups. - Optimize column width for all rows (slower)
Considers the content of all rows in the search result when adjusting column width.
Note: This option can be slower with large amounts of data. - Ignore column header when optimizing column width
Ignores the column header when calculating the optimal column width.
Filter
With the display filter, you define which groups should be displayed in the search result. The following filter options are available:- Show groups without selected files
Shows all groups in which no file has been selected. - Show groups where all files are selected
Shows all groups whose files have been fully selected. - Show groups where only some files are selected
Shows all groups in which at least one, but not all files, have been selected.
Groups
With the following commands, you can expand or collapse specific groups:- Collapse all groups
This command collapses all groups in the search result. - Expand all groups
This command expands all groups in the search result. - Only expand groups that contain selected files
This command expands all groups in the search result that contain at least one selected file. Groups without selected files are automatically collapsed. - Only expand groups that contain no selected files
This command expands all groups in the search result that contain no selected files. Groups with selected files are automatically collapsed. - Only expand groups where all files are selected
This command expands all groups in the search result where all files have been selected. Groups with not fully selected files are automatically collapsed. - Only expand groups where at least 2 files are not selected
This command expands all groups in the search result where at least two files have not been selected. Groups with fewer than two not selected files are automatically collapsed. - Only expand groups that contain more than a specific number of files
This command expands all groups in the search result that contain more files than the number you specified. Groups with fewer or an equal number of files are automatically collapsed. - Only expand groups that contain files with different names
This command expands all groups in the search result that contain files with different names. Groups whose files all have the same name remain collapsed. - Only expand groups that contain files with different names (without file extension)
This command expands all groups in the search result that contain files with different names (without considering the file extension). Groups whose files all have the same name remain collapsed.
Mode
The editing mode determines which groups the actions of the menu items Select, Deselect, and Remove affect. The following options are available:- All groups
Actions affect all groups in the search result. - Expanded groups
Actions only affect groups that are currently open. - Collapsed groups
Actions only affect groups that are currently closed. - Groups that contain no selected files
Actions only affect groups in which no file is selected. - Groups that contain only selected files
Actions only affect groups in which all files are selected. - Groups in which not all files are selected
Actions only affect groups with a mixed selection (at least one file is not selected). - Highlighted groups
Groups that have been visually highlighted by the user (e.g., by click or keyboard focus). - Non-highlighted groups
Groups that currently have no visual highlighting.
Select
With the following commands, specific files in the search result can be selected (☑):- Select all files
Selects all files in the search result by activating the respective checkbox. - Highlight all files
Highlights all files in the search result, thereby visually emphasizing them. - Select all files that are located within the following folder
With this command, all files in the search result that are located within the folder you selected will be selected. - Select all files that are located outside the following folder
With this command, all files in the search result that are located outside the folder you selected will be selected. - Select all files that are duplicates of files within the following folder
This command selects all files in each group, except those located in the specified folder. Files are selected only if at least one file from the specified folder is present in the group. Groups that contain no file from the specified folder remain unchanged. - Select all files in each group, except the first file
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the respective first file. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the last file
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the respective last file. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the newest file
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the respective newest file. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the oldest file
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the respective oldest file. This one is automatically deselected. - Select only the first file in each group
Selects only the first file in each group and removes all other files from the selection. - Select only the last file in each group
Selects only the last file in each group and removes all other files from the selection. - Select all files in each group, except the smallest file
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the respective smallest file. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the largest file
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the respective largest file. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the file with the shortest name
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the file with the respective shortest name. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the file with the longest name
Selects all files in each group in the search result, with the exception of the file with the respective longest name. This one is automatically deselected. - Select all files in each group, except the file with the shortest path

Allows selecting files in the search result based on their creation or modification date. - Select all files that have a match greater than or equal to the specified percentage
This selects all files that have a match greater than or equal to a defined percentage. - Select all files that have a match less than or equal to the specified percentage
This selects all files that have a match less than or equal to a defined percentage. - Select all files in a group except the image file with the highest resolution
Selects all files in a group in the search result except the image file with the highest resolution. - Select all files that are not hard links
Selects all files in the search result that are not hard links to other files. - Select all corrupt image files
Checks all image files in the search result. All files that encounter an error during loading are selected. Corrupt image files are additionally noted with a hint in the log. - Select all corrupt audio files
Checks all audio files in the search result with the following file extensions:aac, aiff, m4a, mp3, ogg, wav, wma
All files are selected for which corrupt values are detected in the properties Duration, Bitrate, or Sample Rate. Corrupt audio files are additionally noted with a hint in the log. - Invert file selection
Inverts the current file selection in the search result: selected files are deselected, unselected files are selected. - Undo
Undoes the last selection or deselection action performed.
Please note: If files have been removed from the search result, the list of all actions is deleted and cannot be restored.
Deselect
With the following commands, you can deselect certain files in the search result (☐):- Deselect all files
Deselects all files in the search result. - Deselect all files located within the following folder
Deselects all files in the search result that are located within the folder structure of the selected directory. This also includes files in subfolders. - Deselect all files located outside the following folder
Deselects all files in the search result that are located outside the selected folder. - Deselect files by their name
Enables deselecting files in the search results based on their file name. Supports wildcards like*and?for flexible name filtering. - Deselect files by their path
Allows deselecting files in the search result based on their storage path. Supports wildcards like*and?for flexible path specification. - Deselect files by their size
Allows deselecting files in the search result based on their file size. - Deselect files by their date

Remove
With the following commands, you can remove specific groups or files from the search result:- Remove all groups with a specific number of files
Removes all groups with a specific number of files from the search result. - Remove all groups where files are not present in all source folders
Removes all groups from the search result whose files are not present in all source folders. - Remove all groups in which all files are selected
Removes all groups from the search result in which all files are selected. - Remove all groups in which not all files are selected
Removes all groups from the search result in which at least one file has not been selected. - Remove all groups that exclusively contain files from archives
Removes all groups from the search result whose files originate exclusively from archive files. - Remove all hard links from the search result
Removes all files from the search result that refer to other files as hard links. - Remove all groups that exclusively contain hard links
Removes all groups from the search result whose files are exclusively hard links. - Remove all groups that exclusively contain hard links of the same file
Removes all groups from the search result whose files are exclusively hard links that refer to the same file. - Remove all files located within the folder structure of the following folder
Removes all files from the search result that are located within the folder structure of the selected folder. This also affects files in subfolders. - Remove all non-existent files
This command checks whether the files listed in the search result exist on the storage medium and automatically removes all no longer existing files from the list. - Remove all selected files
Removes all selected files from the search result.
File protection
Allows enabling or disabling file protection for each individual source folder. File protection prevents files within the respective folder from being deleted, moved, or renamed.Toolbars

Options
- Keyboard shortcuts
Opens the dialog for editing the keyboard shortcuts. Here you can define your own shortcuts or change existing ones. - Confirm deletion of files
With this option, the deletion of files in the search result must be confirmed. - Ask whether to save the search result when exiting
Activates a prompt when closing the search result, asking whether it should be saved. A corresponding Save dialog is displayed. - Show minimized search result in the taskbar notification area
If this option is activated, the window will be displayed as an icon in the Windows taskbar notification area when minimized. It no longer appears as a regular window in the taskbar. - Show file info icons
With this option, special icons for hard links and files from archive files are displayed on the far left edge of the search result. This allows you to see at a glance whether a file is a hard link or originates from an archive. - Change font of search result
With this option, you can customize the font used for displaying the search result. - Decrease font size
Decreases the font size in the search result. - Increase font size
Increases the font size in the search result. - Maximum size of thumbnails in pixels
Sets the maximum width of the thumbnails in the group preview. The height is automatically adjusted proportionally. - Show all file properties in one column
With this option, all file properties are displayed below each other in a single column in the group preview, instead of side by side in separate columns.
